SPECIAL MUSIC “Children
of the Living God”
CALL TO
WORSHIP Psalm 145:8-13 (NKJV)
The Lord is gracious
and full of compassion,
Slow to anger and great in mercy.
The Lord is good to all,
And His tender mercies are over all His works.
Slow to anger and great in mercy.
The Lord is good to all,
And His tender mercies are over all His works.
All Your works shall praise You, O Lord,
And Your saints shall bless You.
They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom,
And talk of Your power,
To make known to the sons of men His mighty acts,
And the glorious majesty of His kingdom.
Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
And Your dominion endures throughout all generations.
HYMN “Amazing Grace”
PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE
Lord, there is none like you, and so we confidently bring
our burdens and our concerns for ourselves and for others. Thank you that Christ intercedes for us and
is already bringing before you what is on our hearts and minds. Remember us and our friends and neighbors
here and around the world as we continue to struggle with the corona
virus. Come quickly, and act through the
knowledge you have revealed to doctors and scientists and by your sovereign healing
grace to deliver us from this disease.
Unite us as the Body of Christ and as a nation as we face
the challenges of these times. Let
compassion and wisdom fill every heart.
May we celebrate the things we have in common and not allow our
differences to divide us. Give us a
heart for working for the good of all and tending to the needs of the least
among us. Empower us to be agents of
your peace and your justice.
We give thanks for answered prayers to come because we know you
are already at work, pouring out your peace, power, healing and wisdom to meet
every need. We ask these things in the
name of Jesus Christ who first taught us to pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth
as it is in heaven. Give us this day,
our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass
against us. And lead us not into
temptation but deliver us from evil. For
thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING
Thank, you, loving Father, you powerfully fill the voids in our
lives. You reveal your compassionate grace by the simple act of always
being present. You unselfishly feed us when we are hungry and quietly
walk with us when we feel alone. With gratitude, we offer our lives and
our resources. Use them so that others
may know your power and your healing. In
Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Sending Forth
HYMN “Bind
Us Together in Love”
BENDICTION
Now, may the generous love of God
surrounds you, the limitless peace of Christ fill you, and the Holy Spirit
guide you on your way. Go, and know,
it’s not we have, but what God can do with it.
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
“The Blessing”
Thank you for a welcoming and thoughtful service Sunday evening.
