GATHERING
GOOD
MORNING YOU BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE OF GOD!
“Now
is the Time to Worship”
CALL
TO WORSHIP
(Psalm 116:1-2, 12,17)
I
love the Lord, because he has heard my voice and my supplications.
Because
he inclined his ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long as I live.
What
shall I return to the Lord for all his bounty to me?
I
will offer you thanksgiving sacrifice and call on the name of the Lord.

CHILDREN’S
MESSAGE “Something to Talk
About”
When you finish reading a very good
book, do you have the feeling you want to tell someone about it and suggest
that they read it too? Yes, we want our family or friends to have the same fun
experience we have had reading a wonderful book.
What do you do when you see a beautiful
flower? Do you like to smell it to see if it is fragrant? Do you think of
bringing someone else to look at the flower so they too can sniff the sweet
fragrance and see the design of the soft, colorful petals?
How about if you were to win a contest
and receive a wonderful prize? Wouldn’t you be excited and want to tell
everyone about what has happened? It is natural that we should want to share
happy experiences and good news with others.
When Jesus was preparing to return to
heaven, he gathered his disciples around him and told them to “Go, and
make disciples of all nations…” (28:19). He also said, “…I am with
you always, even to the end of the age” (28:20).
This was and is good news. The
disciples had spent time with Jesus. They saw the miracles he performed and the
power of his love which was offered to everyone. They wanted others to know of
this wonderful thing which they experienced. Over two thousand years later
disciples, and that includes us, are still sharing the good news about the
power of Jesus’ love.
Let’s pray: Hello, God.
Thank you for Jesus and the good news of his love. Help us to tell this good news to
everyone. Amen.

MUSIC “Shout to the North and the South”
PRAYER
God,
Lord of the harvest, you
care for those who are harassed and helpless. Protect and defend those who are
abused. Heal those who are sick. Feed all who hunger. Empower all whose voices
go unheard, and help us respond to the pressing needs of our neighbors.
In
your compassion, you bid us to rise up and go into the fields. In your mercy, you send us out to be the
voice for those whose cries go unheard. In
your relentless, unconditional love for all people, you call us to love as
Christ loves us in the face of pandemics, hate and change.
Equip
us to be workers in the fields of this world during your harvest of salvation
and love. We ask these things in the
name of Christ who gives us the authority to go forth and who first taught us
how to pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth
as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those
who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen
GIVING THANKS: Even though we are not able meet together, please continue to financially support the mission of God and the ministry of Christ through your gifts and offerings by contributing either through the mail or by electronic giving. Thank you.

SCRIPTURE Matthew 9:35-38, 10:1-8
PRAYER
As Jesus sent the disciples out into
the communities, so we are sent to proclaim that the Kingdom of Heaven has
drawn near. We are eager to share your
love, without expecting a reward. We
realize will not always be made welcome.
When that happens, let us move on because there are many more places
that need to receive your grace. May
your Spirit speak through us in truth. Lord
Jesus, equip us for the journey, we pray. Amen.

Finally, brothers and sisters. Put things in order, listen to my

peace will be with you. Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the saints
greet you.
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love
of God, and the communion of the Holy
